Cashier

Job Summary:

Costco is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our company, providing outstanding customer service while processing member purchases with accuracy and efficiency. This position plays a vital role in ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for every Costco member.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Scan and process customer purchases accurately using POS systems.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision.
• Verify pricing and apply discounts as required.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly.
• Bag merchandise and assist members with cart retrieval if needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized checkout area.
• Comply with all Costco policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior cashier or customer service experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math proficiency.
• Ability to accurately handle transactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
